NASHVILLE, TN, (October 31, 2014) While CMA Awards' New Artist of the Year nominee, Cole Swindell, is gearing up to launch his "Down Home Tour" next month, the breakout artist will also release a special fan EP, called the Down Home Sessions on November 17th via Warner Bros Records. Comprised of five songs (track listing below), the digital album will be released in connection with his first solo run of tour dates this winter, which follows up his nationwide arena and stadium trek with Luke Bryan.
I'm always writing and I have lots of songs that I want my fans to hear. As a songwriter that's what you want, but everything can't always make it onto your album so I decided the best way to release this music was to put together the Down Home Session EP, explains Swindell. The start of my Down Home Tour seemed like the perfect time to put this collection together for the fans, not that I need an excuse to thank them for all the support they have given me over the past year.
Along with the Down Home Sessions EP, Swindell will also introduce his new fan club, The Down Home Crew. Fans can sign up on his website which allows access to exclusive items such as online store discounts, access to presale tickets and meet & greets, as well as up to date information about all things Cole Swindell. Down Home Crew members will also get early access to the VIP experience at headlining shows (where available).
Releasing his self-titled debut album earlier this year on Warner Bros. Records, Swindell has sold 260,000 copies since only February, while claiming the title of highest selling country debut since 2011 upon release. The album features Swindells latest single, Aint Worth The Whiskey, along with his first two hits as a solo artist and back-to-back No. 1 singles: the gold certified Hope You Get Lonely Tonight, and the platinum certified Chillin It. Named Music Rows Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year for 2014, Swindells celebrated songwriting credits also include hit songs such as This Is How We Roll for Florida Georgia Line, Get Me Some of That, the No. 1 single for Thomas Rhett, several songs with Luke Bryan including his latest No. 1 single Roller Coaster, among others. As the only debut artist with a No. 1 country radio single in 2014, his debut hit Chillin It remains one of the most played songs on country radio this year, racking up almost 1.3 million sales of more than 2.1 million total tracks sold. Recently making his Grand Ole Opry debut, Swindell will head back out on the road in 2015 with Jason Aldeans Burn It Down tour.
