Blake Shelton, co-host of the 48TH ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, will open the Awards broadcast with a can’t-miss exciting performance featuring co-host Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley and Pistol Annies, including Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. This will mark the world premiere performance of “Boys ‘Round Here,” Shelton’s second single off his latest album, Based On A True Story…, which will be featured on the special’s broadcast, live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 7 (8:00-11:00 PM live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.
They join previously announced ACM performers Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Jewel, Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Wonder, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and The Band Perry. Brad Paisley will headline the 3rd Annual ACM Fan Jam, with special guests Dierks Bentley, Hunter Hayes, and New Artist of the Year Presented by Kohl’s nominees Brantley Gilbert, Jana Kramer and Florida Georgia Line.
The 48th Academy of Country Music Awards, dedicated to honoring and showcasing the biggest names and emerging talent in the country music industry, is produced for television by dick clark productions. Allen Shapiro, Orly Adelson and R.A. Clark are executive producers. Barry Adelman is producer, and Bob Bardo is the executive in charge of production. Bob Romeo is executive producer for the Academy of Country Music.
