RESTLESS HEART To PRESENT BENEFIT at SCHERMERHORN
SHOW TO BENEFIT NASHVILLE RESCUE MISSION
 
  Nashville, TN - October 6, 2011 - Award winning country music group, Restless Heart, and a star-studded lineup of performers, will present “Music with a Mission,” accompanied by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at 7 p.m. in the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville to benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission.
 
This special musical event will feature Restless Heart, along with Grammy winning recording artist  Ricky Skaggs, country recording artist Tracy Lawrence, Grammy nominated songwriter Keith Anderson, acclaimed Broadway performer Gary Morris, “American Idol” favorite Melinda Doolittle, versatile guitarist/singer/songwriter Lee Roy Parnell, world-class harmonica player and studio musician Charlie McCoy and Latin superstar Jaci Velasquez. WSMV-TV anchor Demetria Kalodimos will serve as master of ceremonies for the evening.
 
“When Restless Heart was approached by the Rescue Mission to host this event, we were so humbled and excited to be a part of something bigger than ourselves,” said Dave Innis, Restless Heart keyboards/vocalist and musical coordinator for the event. “To be able to give back to this particular organization is an honor!”
Other Restless Heart band members scheduled to perform include Larry Stewart, lead vocals and acoustic guitar; Paul Gregg, bass guitar and lead vocals; Greg Jennings, lead guitar and vocals; and John Dittrich, drums, percussion and lead vocals.
 
A silent auction featuring items, donated by and exclusive to the performing artists of the evening, will be in the lobby during the event. Included are such items as “An Evening with Whispering Bill Anderson,” which will include dinner for two with Bill and passes to the Opry, tickets and backstage passes to Jason Aldean’s sold-out Nashville show, and a signed fiddle from the legendary Charlie Daniels.
 
Tickets for the evening range from $54 to $104, and are available along with other information online athttp://www.nashvillesymphony.org. All performers are donating their time and talent to the event. All the proceeds from the event will benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission.
 
The Nashville Rescue Mission, a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization, offers food, clothing and shelter to the homeless, as well as recovery programs to those enslaved in these life degrading problems. The Mission’s goal is to help people know the saving grace of Jesus, and through Him, gain wisdom for living, find fulfillment in life and become a positive part of their community.
