JAKE OWEN’S NEW ALBUM BAREFOOT BLUE JEAN NIGHT HITS STORES ON AUGUST 29

“Barefoot Blue Jean Night” is Top Five and Rapidly Approaching Platinum with over 800K downloads

Jake will Perform “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and Announce the Finalists in Five Categories Live on
ABC's "Good Morning America" September 6

NashvilleTN – RCA recording artist Jake Owen is very excited about the next few weeks. For starters, he turns 30 on Sunday, August 28. Jake will celebrate his birthday in DallasTX at the American Airlines Arena while he is in town performing on Keith Urban’s Get Closer World Tour, which continues through mid-October.

Jake's hit single "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" entered the Top Five this week on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and Country Aircheck. The song has been touted 2011's summer anthem. It is also the fastest rising single of Jake's career and the first single from his forthcoming album being released on August 29.

In addition, "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" was recently certified a Digital Gold Single by the RIAA and is rapidly approaching Platinum with over 800,000 downloads to date.

Just announced this morning, Jake and The Band Perry and will announce the final nominees in five CMA Awards categories live from the "Good Morning America" studios in the heart of New York City's Times Square on the ABC Television Network. The announcement will air in the 8:30 AM/ET half-hour segment of the morning news program. During the broadcast, Jake will also perform "Barefoot Blue Jean Night."

Jake is most excited about his third studio album being released on Monday. “I finally got to make the record I’ve always wanted to make,” says Jake. “I think it really represents who I am more than anything I've ever recorded. If nothing else happens after this, I can honestly say that I did the absolute best that I can do. I’ve never felt this good about music, or anything in my career, as I do right now. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

His buoyant optimism is justified. Barefoot Blue Jean Night brims with vocal self-confidence and a superbly chosen stack of songs. The pumping energy in such country rockers as “Anywhere with You,” “Apple Pie Moonshine,” “The One That Got Away” and “Nobody Feelin’ No Pain” contrasts dramatically with the feverish thumper “Wide Awake” or the crunchy, edgy and atmospheric “Alone with You.”

“Keepin’ it Country” is a Jake Owen statement of purpose. “Heaven” is a smiling, seductive come-on. On the other hand, there’s the touching, lovely and philosophical acoustic ballad “The Journey of Your Life.” The frothing power, cascading rhythm and head-to-the-sky vocal shout of “Settin’ the World on Fire” mark it as a blue-chip, blue-collar rocker. And what more can be said of “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” surely the most joyous summer celebration on disc today.

New Flavor Friday from Blue Bell..

From KHOU-TV Houston:  BRENHAM, TX -- Blue Bell Ice Cream is teasing a new flavor on its social media feeds. The Texas-based ice cream company has been slowly reintroducing its flavors to many of the markets it had withdrawn from after last year's fatal Listeria outbreak forced them to completely shut down production for a time. During the shutdown, the company worked with outside experts to control and eliminate potential sources of Listeria inside the Texas and Oklahoma facilities where the outbreak originated. While production of the iconic brand has resumed, not all of the company's flavors that were being produced prior to the plant closings are available. Blue Bell has been taking a measured reintroduction, and now has product available in most states and markets where they were prior to the closings. In this week's social media tease, the company says the new flavor will have fans "dancing in the grocery store aisles." Our newest flavor is a combination o…

They call her..The Bare Naked Bandit..29 yr Old Lee Grace Doherty

ARRESTED now in Colorado...but what a story and week for 2 brothers and their stripper sister!

Text messages and tweets by three fugitive siblings who shot at a police officer and robbed a bank reveal a dangerous mindset and a firm bond between the siblings, "We've certainly seen their mindset when... They shot at a law enforcement officer outside of Tampa Bay, Fla., and when they fired inside that bank in Valdosta, Ga. But these additional texts and tweets have given us additional insight," FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett told "Good Morning America" today. " We are concerned and feel that they are going to continue and cause problems to say the least for law enforcement." Ryan Dougherty, 21; his sister Lee Grace E. Dougherty, 29; and half-brother Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, have been on the lam since Aug. 2 when they shot at a police officer attempting to pull their white Subaru Impreza over for speeding. A few hours later, they robbed a bank in Georg…
