Milsap to perform classic hits and new music off
his just-released album, Country Again

Ronnie MilsapNASHVILLE, TN -- (August 24, 2011) – On August 27, Ronnie Milsap, credited with 40 #1 hits, will close out two days of live music, award-winning barbeque, and fun festivities in the heart of music city. Fans will have the opportunity to hear his timeless hits in addition to songs from his current release, including his new single “If You Don’t Want Me To (The Freeze)” from his first country album in five years, Country Again.

Ronnie Milsap ranks as the top country soul singer of his generation selling over 35 million albums. He has 40 #1 hits, six Grammy Awards, eight Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, and four Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards to his name. As a crossover artist appealing to both country and pop markets, Milsap is one of the heralding “crossover” artists between the two styles. On July 26, he returned to his country roots, releasing Country Again, as a joint venture between Milsap Music Group and Bigger Picture Group.

The Cumberland International Trucks Presents: Music City Festival & BBQ Championship will roll into Nashville’s Riverfront Park August 26 and 27. This year, the exciting events include: Tennessee State Championship BBQ Competition, live music on the Grand Ol’ Porker Main Stage, and four other stages around the venue, the Music City Car Show, Kids Zone, Smoking Hot Arena, Corporate Challenge, and more. The Marshall Tucker Band headlines the Grand Ole Porker Stage on Friday, August 26 and Ronnie Milsap headlines the stage at 9 PM on Saturday, August 27.
