The city was San Bruno....bedroom community south of downtown San Fransisco...near SF airport. Around 630 it sounded like a jet crash but instead a 4 inch PGE Natural Gas main ignited....The fireball reached as high as 100 feet..The shock and fire took down 50 homes and maybe more. The death toll right now is one but that will rise when firefighters are able to get into the burned homes. It was a nightmare scene...
