Nashville, TN – In the July 9th feature on AOL Music’s “The Boot” http://www.theboot.com/2010/07/09/catchy-songs/, The Oak Ridge Boys take home the honor of having the catchiest song in country music.   The Catch: "Elvira, Elvira/My Heart's on fire, Elvira/Giddy up, oom-poppa-oom-poppa-mow-mow".

Oak Ridge Boys“When I opened up my AOL account, one of the headline stories for the day was about the 10 catchiest songs in country music history, I followed the link and started to read the top 10.  I started at 10 and wondered what would be next as I scrolled down the page.  I was thinking that we would not have a song on there, then at #1 was our huge hit Elvira.  You could hear me screaming all the way from Oklahoma.  Thanks to Dallas Frazier for writing such a song that bought us all a new house, and a new car,” says Oaks lead singer Duane Allen.
