Darryl Worley Announces
9th Annual Tennessee River Run Festival

Nashville, TN - July 27, 2010 - Country star Darryl Worley has announced the 9th Annual Tennessee River Run taking place this year September 16 - September 18 near his hometown of Savannah, Tennessee. The festival, considered as being one of the largest festivals and fundraiser events in West Tennessee, will feature three days of fun-filled activities for the entire family. All proceeds from the festival will benefit the Darryl Worley Foundation.
Highlights of the TRR include a memorable Evening With Darryl & Friends (9/16), a Golf Tournament (9/17), a 5K Run/Walk (9/18), a Motorcycle Poker Run (9/18), a Rock Concert with headliner Marshall Tucker Band (9/17) , and an all-star Country Concert featuring Worley and formerAmerican Idol contestant, Danny Gokey (9/18). All events will take place at various locations in West Tennessee including Pickwick, Adamsville, and Savannah.
Worley initially organized the TRR in 2001 to raise money for people of need in his community. Since its inception, TRR has raised well over a million dollars for The Darryl Worley Foundation, which has honored grants to various charities throughout West Tennessee. Some of the beneficiaries include the American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club of Iuka, MS, Hardin County Education Foundation, Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, victims of Hurricane Katrina, and the newly created Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center scheduled to open early 2011.
Tickets to all events range in price from $10.00 to $35.00 and go on sale Monday, August 2. The Golf Tournament, Boat Poker Run, 5K Run/Walk and Motorcycle Poker Run require a separate registration fee for each event. Concert tickets will be available at select Kroger stores in Corinth, TN and Savannah, TN, as well as O'Reilly Auto Parts stores located throughout West Tennessee.
