LUKE BRYAN CELEBRATES BACK-TO-BACK #1 SINGLES WITH
“RAIN IS A GOOD THING” HITTING THE TOP SPOT THIS WEEK

On The Heels of Two ACM Wins, a CMT Award and
Two TEEN Choice Award Nominations


July 12, 2010 – NashvilleTN – Capitol Records Nashville’s Luke Bryan seems to be celebrating a  lot these days. Today he is celebrating his second consecutive #1 single with “Rain Is A Good Thing” hitting the top of both the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts. This comes on the heels of his #1 Gold®-certified smash “Do I.”

“Rain Is A Good Thing” was co-written with his longtime friend Dallas Davidson. The video for the song, directed by Shaun Silva, is currently climbing and in the Top 5 of CMT’s Top 20 Countdown and in the Top 10 on GAC’s Top 20 Countdown.

In addition to enjoying the tremendous success of his current album, DOIN’ MY THING, which contains “Do I” and “Rain Is A Good Thing,” the Georgia native was recently named the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Artist and Top New Solo Vocalist, both fan-voted, and he won a CMT trophy for the fan-voted USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of The Year for his “Do I” music video. Bryan is currently nominated for both the Male Country Artist and Country Album at the Teen Choice awards set for August.

Bryan continues a heavy tour schedule this summer and will hit the road again this fall with country superstar Jason Aldean for his hugely successful WIDE OPEN arena tour.
