GEORGE JONES CONTINUES TO TOUR,
WITH 22 MORE CONCERTS REMAINING IN 2012
Despite recent Facebook rumors, the Legend is alive and well
and looks forward to another strong year of touring
Nashville, TN (September 3, 2012) - George Jones is alive and well, and happy to be touring. After performing two successful shows this weekend, Jones is scheduled to appear on average six to eight more shows each month continuing into 2013.
The legend states, "I love the road. I love the fans. I am just a singer and love to sing my songs. Until I'm done I still don't need no rockin' chair. Just gimme' that stage and I'll have at it".
After Jones' Saturday night concert in Massachusetts, MassLive.com reviewer George Lenker had this to say about Jones' fans: "They were there to share the space, be in the same room, and breathe the same air as a country music icon who they cherish." "Jones entered to a standing ovation and left to one..." Lenker continued, "He [is] also clearly still sharp mentally for his age and engaged in great stage banter with both his band and the audience."
