Nashville, Tenn., August 21, 2013: ASCAP, BMI and the CMA celebrated Brad Paisley's 22nd #1 single, "Beat This Summer," at a lunchtime party at the CMA offices on Music Row on Tuesday, August 20th. The song, co-written by Chris DuBois and Luke Laird, marked Paisley's 19th chart-topper as a songwriter and the 14th for both DuBois and Laird. The CMA offices were packed with friends celebrating with the songwriters and also on-hand to congratulate the group were publishers Sea Gayle Music, Universal Music Publishing and Creative Nation Music, as well as label Arista Nashville. "Beat This Summer" became the first #1 song for independent publishing company Creative Nation, founded by Laird and his wife Beth Laird.
