Danny Gokey is a STAR!

A mini private concert Monday night for a few dozen folks at RCA records Nashville...American Idol finalist turned country singer Danny Gokey performed..WOW .. what a voice! ..great songs..first single   "My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me" is a hit!    Another by Kara the idol judge was great ..another by hit song writer jeffrey steele fantastic ...all his songs seem to have a positive message and this guy can sing.. sort of the male carrie underwood!   No one that I've ever seen in my time here came with that much power in his voice...
His new song debuted strong first week..right behind the new one by Ms Underwood...

12/14 was the last big day of the year for the charts..with Luke Bryan grabbing the last #1 country song of the year with Do I...

  1. I attended Danny’s performance last week at the country-western club Coyote Joe’s in NC, and completely agree with you. He sounded phenomenal, and looked totally comfortable on stage in that environment. The crowd gave him a very warm reception, seemed to love his music, and really responded to him personally. There were a lot of people queuing up to talk to him or get pics/autographs after he finished. The billing also included three other artists, David Nail, Mallory Hope, and Phil Vassar (didn’t see Phil, too late for me). Although they all are very talented and did well that night, Danny got a bigger reception than the other two that I saw–more cheers/applause, bigger crowd around the stage, more people taking pics and videos, more people trying to meet him, more enthusiastic singing along with his songs. Beyond his singing, which is just amazing, he really has a nice way of connecting with live audiences and getting them on his side and into his music.

No core country artist has crossed over more titles to AC. Rogers has scored eight AC No. 1s. Rogers: "I remember when [the AC charts] were established, I thought it was so cool. I've always been a believer in the strength of the song. My problem is I'm a country singer who's had a lot of other musical influences, so my stuff is going to tend to be more AC. That's always been my slam in country music, that I was never a true country artist, even though &q
