Jason Rides Tractor to #1

NASHVILLE, TN - Aug. 24, 2009 - After only 14 weeks, platinum selling country rocker Jason Aldean's  "Big Green Tractor" plowed through the Top 10 and planted itself in the No. one position on both radio charts today.  The laid back country love song is the second consecutive No. one hit from Aldean's critically acclaimed third album WIDE OPEN.

"This thing has just taken on a life of its own...the crowd used to be screaming for 'She's Country' and 'Hicktown," and by the end of the first song, they are holding up "Tractor' signs and going crazy," said Aldean.  "Back-to-back number one's...I'll never get tired of the way this feels!   I have so much to be grateful for this year.  A big thanks goes to everyone at my label and all my friends at radio, who continue to prove that if we give 'em something worth playing, they'll be there for us.  You guys rock!"

The smash hit has continually set the pace for country digital downloads at 50,000 per week, and it also continues to be the second best-selling ring tone in all genres with an average 30,000 per week.   "Big Green Tractor" also topped 16 million myspace streams this week.

Aldean's first-ever live concert DVD WIDE OPEN LIVE & MORE is in stores tomorrow.   For more news and an updated tour schedule, visit www.jasonaldean.com.
