Brooks and Dunn follow up

The announcement of a Brooks and Dunn breakup caught lots of folks off guard...employees of B&D ..their label etc..... I'm sure the big shots knew....(you dont invent a final tour name in a day...)

The Last Rodeo is the last tour.........but I feel sure they did not intend to put this out today....They have lots of tour dates this year and the planned final tour next.....

The crew knew of the big tour next year but not a lot about it. ET got the leak and ran with it.....and everyone was off to the races....B & D worked Friday in Minnesota....There is always talk of this not going on forever...break up talk with these folks has happened since nearly the first day....Remember: they were a shotgun marriage of two songwriters by label exec Tim Dubois. They never dreamed it would go 5 years....they have taken time off in these last 20 but not a lot. Ronnie and Kix are NOT 2 peas in a pod....separate buses for years....they about broke up a few years ago and the challenge of Montgomery Gentry got them re energized. and we have the leak today..... so it's a surprise but not a shock. How many groups last 20 years? duos or anything else.... and they are still going to roll on another year and a half.... These are smart business people. I'm sure the leaker will be not be held in high regard. and few knew...soooooo..

Next tour stop: Aberdeen Maryland August 15th....the show WILL GO ON ! in fact they rehearsed for a TV show TODAY! not a planned day for the B & D gang...interesting night though...
