FOR SPECIAL SURPRISE PERFORMANCE AT TUESDAY NIGHT'S GRAND OLE OPRY

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty joins Brad Paisley on
the Grand Ole Opry Tuesday night

Nashville- (April 13, 2016) – Grand Ole Opry member Brad Paisley surprised the audience at Tuesday night’s Grand Ole Opry, welcoming friend and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Fogerty for the music legend’s Opry debut. After performing three of his own hits, Paisley introduced the crowd to Fogerty,  saying to the audience, “We’re going to play some music and you’re going to know these songs, so sing along.” The crowd did just that, joining Paisley and Fogerty first on the American anthem “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” then on Fogerty’s 1985 hit “Centerfield.”

“I do want to tell you what an honor it is to be standing here,” Fogerty said between songs, to which Paisley assured him, “The honor is ours.”

Called back on the Opry stage for an encore after their first collaborations, Paisley laughed when asking Fogerty, “Do you know any more songs?” The pair then ended the night with a standing ovation performance of “Proud Mary.”

Among those coming soon to the Opry stage are Vince Gill, Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts, Chris Janson, Kelsea Ballerini, David Nail, Lauren Alaina, Chris Young, Craig Morgan, Dustin Lynch, Charles Esten, and many more. Among artists scheduled to make their Grand Ole Opry debuts are Tara Thompson, Maren Morris and Brothers Osborne.
