TRACY LAWRENCE TO PERFORM
AT EXCLUSIVE GUANTANAMO BAY SHOW
Country Music Veteran Lending Talent
To Perform At Naval Base In October

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 30, 2009)—Award winning, multi-platinum recording artist, Tracy Lawrence, is set to perform at memorable concert for American troops stationed at Guantanamo BayCuba in early October.

As an extraordinary detour from his upcoming fall tour across the U.S., Tracy will perform at the base at Guantanamo Bay on Sunday, October 4, 2009; the visit will situate him before a unique audience unlike any other in his 20-year career.

Commonly referred to as “Gitmo,” Guantanamo Bay is the location of the American detainment facility and home to nearly eight thousand U.S. troops stationed at the base that is located on Cuba’s shore. Guantanamo Bay has the distinction of being the oldest U.S. base overseas and the only one in a Communist country.

“I jump at the opportunity to perform for our servicemen and women when I am able—for those who do so very much to protect our freedoms and security,” Lawrence said. “Without question ’Gitmo’ has made headline news, both past and present, but the people situated there are giving and caring individuals.  We need to be thankful everyday for their sacrifices and commitment to our country.”

Tracy’s visit has been organized as part of the Liberty Program; the program caters to the service members living in Guantanamo Bay hosting a wide range of recreational activities.  With entertainment events yearlong as part of the Liberty Program, entertainers such as John Michael Montgomery and Ted Nugent have also visited the naval base.

With more than 100 dates on the books this year, the quick trip to Cuba rounds out Lawrence’s 2009 show schedule. In June, Lawrence released his first inspirational project (the third album from his own independent label, Rocky Comfort Records) entitled THE ROCK; the CD debuted in the Top 20 country albums and Top 5 Christian albums (6/14/09 Nielsen US SoundScan Chart).

Tracy Lawrence is fast approaching his second decade in the music industry, officially celebrating the milestone in 2010, with more than 8 million albums sold, 17 celebrated No. 1 singles (including “Paint Me A Birmingham,” “Alibis” and “Find Out Who Your Friends Are”) and more than 30 charted singles to his name.

CORDING ARTIST JASON MICHAEL CARROLL,
NATIONAL RUNAWAY SWITCHBOARD FORM PARTNERSHIP

 Relationship Spotlights "Hurry Home"
to Address Runaway Crisis and Awareness of 1-800-RUNAWAY

                  Jason Michael Carroll
Nashville, TN (September 30, 2009) - The National Runaway Switchboard (NRS) and Arista Nashville recording artist Jason Michael Carroll have formed a partnership to raise awareness about the runaway crisis in America and the help that youth and families can receive by calling 1-800-RUNAWAY.

The announcement comes after the recent release of Carroll's second single, "Hurry Home," on his current album, Growing Up Is Getting Old. A song about a father and his runaway daughter and the struggles each faces during a challenging time, "Hurry Home" poignantly portrays the love of a parent whose overriding wish is simply for the safe return of his child. Hot Schatz PR

"Jason's song speaks to millions of people from youth to parents to siblings and families who are affected every day by a young person's decision to run from home. He is committed to helping address this national crisis," said Maureen Blaha, NRS executive director. "This is an opportunity for a long-term relationship that will help further our mission of keeping America's runaway and at-risk youth safe and off the streets."

Carroll personally experienced the effects of what a runaway episode can do to a family when his aunt ran from home when he was a young boy.

"I was so young when my aunt left home that I grew up not knowing who she was - just someone we prayed for every night," says Carroll. "For all the families who are missing someone dear to them, and for all the young people who need a hand getting home, or staying home, I hope that what we're doing can help bring attention to an important issue and to the great resources available through NRS."

While exploring additional initiatives together, the partnership already includes Carroll serving as a spokesperson on behalf of NRS when discussing "Hurry Home" and runaway and at-risk youth issues. He also included the NRS logo and 1-800-RUNAWAY crisis hotline number at the end of his "Hurry Home" video released (to CMT and GAC) in late June, and he recorded a series of radio public service announcements that have been distributed nationally to country radio stations and made available in the Multimedia Library on NRS' Web site.

Over the years, NRS has benefitted from celebrity partnerships and their social responsibility efforts in support of the organization's mission, including award winning musician and actor, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges; film producer and director, Greg Kwedar; world renowned chef, Charlie Trotter; author, Debra Gwartney; and the band, Stereofuse.

Myers Home-Schooled Judd Children

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The former teaching assistant facing federal child pornography charges was home-schooling the children of a country music superstar.
Scott Myers had been hired to home-school the children of Wynonna Judd. He was fired immediately after she learned about the charges. He'd worked as a teacher's assistant and even a kids' camp counselor. The whole time, he flew below the radar of more than one TBI background check.
Scott Myers volunteered as a counselor three different summers, including just this year at "Barefoot Republic Camp."
Tommy Rhodes, executive director of Spectrum Industries, the group that runs the camp, said the 27-year-old had excellent professional references; exceptional interview skills; and Bible camp experience.
Myers, who supervised middle school aged kids, writes about the closeness of his cabin on Facebook, the social site where Myers boasts about finally finishing-up a 4-year teaching degree.
Myers is open and up-front about day-to-day life; even his job, and homeschooling the children of Wynonna Judd. But federal investigators claim Myers had a dark and worldly side on the web.
According to a written release, agents seized from Myers's Franklin apartment, 3,000 electronic images of children engaged in various sex acts. And, investigators maintain, Myers confessed in an internet chat-room to engaging in sexual activity with four boys who lived in the immediate area.
The superintendent says Scott Myers has been yanked from a substitute teacher pool at nearby Freedom Intermediate, the school he resigned from this past May after working there three years.
Franklin's Special School District says it did alert parents of Myers's arrest in an e-mail on Friday,  but not until federal investigators lifted their orders that parents be told nothing.
Wynnona Judd,  whose children were being home-schooled by Myers, thanks federal and local authorities for calling the arrest of Scott Myers to her attention. She says it's made her family and her community much safer.

MIRANDA LAMBERT MIGHT NOT BE THE GAL YOU
"TAKE HOME TO MAMA"
BUT AT THE HALLOWED
RYMAN AUDITORIUM SHE BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN

Lambert Took Over Music City Last Week And Continues Her Revolution With
Coast-to-Coast Performances

Nashville, Tennessee (September 28, 2009) - Revolutionary singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert began last week in Nashville kissing idol Merle Haggard on the cheek and performing "Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Star" at the 2009 ACM Honors Awards to celebrate him and his artistry. She also sang "Anymore Love Songs" for yet another one of her heroes Hank Jr.  Lambert closed out her week with a few thousand friends on their feet at the famed Ryman Auditorium for her promised Revolution. The 25 year-old blew the roof off Nashville's Hallowed Hall performing with the fury of a hurricane and the softness of an evening breeze, taking her audience on a musical journey of all 15 tracks of her new record in sequence plus her favorite classic country tunes and hits from her previous discs Kerosene andCrazy Ex-Girlfriend.

"There's no question that Lambert is one of the most alluring voices and imaginative songwriters in country music today," writes Ed Morris/CMT.com. "...She was pure energy in knee-high boots--and a sheer joy to witness."

This week, she continues the fire with live performances onGood Morning America (September 29), Late Show with David Letterman (September 29), Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (October 1), The Ellen DeGeneres Show (October 5) and The Bonnie Hunt Show (October 7).  She'll also appear on CNN, Fox News, Better TV, E! Entertainment News, Associated Press TV, Reuters and more.

Already gathering rare perfect reviews from the likes ofRolling Stone (4 Stars) and Entertainment Weekly (A), Lambert's Revolution, the follow-up release to platinum-selling debut Kerosene and ACM Album of the Year Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, is well on it's way to the "rampage" Lambert had hoped for.

"I feel like this album is the next step of my career," admits Lambert. " I'm not standing still. My first two albums were part of the same chapter in a way but Revolution means transformation and uprising and that's exactly what I feel happening within me and around me."

Randy Lewis of the LA Times quotes, "Lambert's evolution as a singer and songwriter is apparent onRevolution, for which she wrote or co-wrote 11 of the 15 songs. Many reach beyond her "Kerosene," "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and "Gunpowder & Lead" image as country's most volatile woman to show there's also a sensitive heart, and a wicked sense of humor, lurking beneath the hair-trigger surface."

"With her third record, Miranda Lambert remains country's most refreshing act..." Rolling Stone.

"With themes of sin and forgiveness, regret and acceptance, loss and grown-up love, Revolution is a portrait of an artist in full possession of her powers, and the best mainstream-country album so far this year.Entertainment Weekly

Additional print coverage will find Lambert enjoying margarita's with her mother, aiming her favorite weapons, posing in the latest "fall fashions", and peering through the iron bars of prison. Country Weekly's cover story (on stands today), talks about Lambert's defining moment that changed her life when she almost dropped out of school, Maxim(October issue) reveals that while she's known to pack heat she also has an affinity for fuzzy dog slippers, First for Women (On stands today) showcases the tenacity of a young girl who bounced back after facing some tough challenges, OK Magazine (on stands October 1) features her "Fall Fashion Must Haves" and the next issue of PEOPLE Country"All about Country Stars and their Families" will feature Miranda and her mom (on stands October 9th). US Weekly nabbed some quality time to talk music in the issue on stands now and last month Details Magazinefeatured Miranda talking about everything from her rifle butt mike stand to her love of Bacardi.

On October 2nd, the video to her fast rising single "White Liar" premieres on CMT. Lambert finds her own wicked retribution for her broken heart, delivering an edgy, dark satisfaction to anyone who has ever had a taste for revenge.

"I like to think of myself as one of the outlaws" says Lambert while at a recent photo shoot at the famous and condemned Tennessee State Penitentiary but at the same time she says in the Washington Times: "I'm a pretty happy girl these days. I have a great career going, a good relationship and good people around me.  So to write a love song, I don't have to stretch too far.
Miranda's Revolution is her most diverse album yet, a combination of true country lyrics, alt-country sounds, emotional ballads, rockin' anthems and even a few love songs, completing her transformation into a more mature artist with a greater sense of emotional poise.

"Standing here today that girl from Lindale, Texas has a keen eye on the future, the music to back it up and a goal not just for her upcoming tour, but for the legacy she wants one day to leave behind."
