Clint Black Talks to Dan Rather

Legendary newsman Dan Rather was in Nashville, Tennessee last week to profile country music icon Clint Black for his AXS Television show “The Big Interview.”  The two spent time together at Black’s Nashville home and talked about Black’s musical and personal journey, his acting career, and marriage to actress Lisa Hartman.  Featured on the episode, which is slated to air March 28, an intimate performance by Black from his home studio.

“It was an honor having Dan to the house,” said Black.  “It will undoubtedly go down as one of my favorite interviews ever – deeper than most. I talked about things I’d never even thought of sharing before.  I didn’t want it to end.  In fact, Dan hung around afterwards and I started asking him about his career. I’d love to get more time, turn the camera on him and hear more of his stories.  What a day.  Check one off the bucket list!”

“You will meet no more likable guy than Clint,” said Rather.  “He’s a funny and charming guy, who I could’ve talked with all day.  This was an interview that I’d been looking forward to for a long time and he did not disappoint.  Great conversation and even took time to play some of his favorites for us.  It was one helluva good time.”
