Nashville, TN – Superstar Carrie Underwood has now surpassed a personal best that she set with her debut single, “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” as her GRAMMY®-nominated smash “Something in the Water” achieves a seventh cumulative week at #1 on Billboard’s airplay/sales/streaming-based Hot Country Songs chart.
The Gold-certified “Something in the Water” recently topped Rolling Stone’s year-end social media readers’ poll of the “10 Best Country Songs of 2014,” and it continues to be red-hot on the radio airwaves, currently approaching the summit of both the Billboard and Country Aircheck country airplay charts.
It was actually nine years ago this week that Underwood was enjoying her first Hot Country Songs success in the midst of her six-week run at #1 with “Jesus, Take the Wheel.”
“Something in the Water” also continues its record-setting ways on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart with a 16th week at #1, the longest such tenure for a female artist, according to Billboard.
The song’s music video is now in its fifth consecutive week at #1 on GAC’s fan-voted Top 20 Country Countdown.
“Something in the Water” is from Underwood’s chart-topping new album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1, which also includes the new song “Little Toy Guns” and four songs in never-before-released versions, as well as all 18 of Underwood’s #1 hits.
