KENNY CHESNEY SELLS OUT THREE SHOWS AT RED ROCKS
Joe Walsh & Grace Potter Join For Final Show
Kenny Chesney transformed the mountainous Colorado terrain into a three-night ‘Coastal’ celebration as the superstar was joined by the legendary Joe Walsh and Chesney’s “You and Tequila” partner Grace Potter on the final night of a sold-out run at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre last week.
"The three nights at Red Rocks were some of the most magical experiences on tour I can ever remember,” Chesney said. “I told the crowd, ‘I wish I could stay in this moment all summer long.’ From the intensity of the first night, to the driving rain storm the next night when nobody left the venue, to the final night with Grace Potter and Joe Walsh, it made me remember all over again why we all love music and care so much.”
Chesney was joined by Walsh for rip-roaring versions of The Eagles’ “Life in the Fast Lane,” as well as Walsh’s solo classics “Rocky Mountain Way,” “Life’s Been Good,” and “All Night Long,” for which Chesney brought onstage opening acts Uncle Kracker and Grace Potter, who served as a special guest support act on the final night.
Chesney also welcomed Potter onstage for a rendition of their current hit “You and Tequila,” which is bulleted at #11 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Watch the video for “You and Tequila”, from 2010’s ‘Hemingway’s Whiskey’ (BNA), here: http://bit.ly/iezn65
The sold-out shows, part of the 2011 Corona Presents Kenny Chesney’s ‘Goin’ Coastal’ Tour, were Chesney's first at Red Rocks and the first time in five years that he's performed at any venue more than twice in a tour.
