The lighting of the tree – a 62-foot white pine weighing approximately 12,000 pounds – will take place in front of Macy’s at Lenox Square Mall from 7-8 PM on Thanksgiving night, followed by a fireworks finale set to holiday music.  Performances by Wicks and the other entertainers will precede the lighting, with entertainment set to begin at 6:15 PM.

Wicks is currently poised to hit the radio airwaves with his new single, “Old School,” from his upcoming second album, due in 2011.  With the release of his debut album, Starting Now, two years ago, Wicks emerged as a compelling new voice, both as a vocalist and songwriter, with hits like “Stealing Cinderella” and “All I Ever Wanted” resonating with an everyman’s perspective on life and love.
