NASHVILLE, TENN – Jan.  19, 2010 – Multi-Platinum country music star Jason Aldean is kicking off 2010 with a sold-out first run of his WIDE OPEN arena tour, starting this Friday, Jan. 22.  Greenville, SC is the first stop with over 11,000 tickets sold, marking the most tickets sold by a country artist in that venue since superstar Kenny Chesney stopped there in early 2006.  The next day Aldean will play to a hometown crowd of over 7000 in Macon, GA, a show that sold out nearly two months in advance.  Aldean previously sold out 17 consecutive dates on the fall run of the tour.

“We’ve spent the last few weeks at home revamping our show, adding new production elements and working on our set lists to make this leg of the WIDE OPEN tour better than ever,” says Aldean.  “The fans are showing us so much love...there’s no better feeling in the world than taking the stage when the place is sold out...it’s a total adrenaline rush.  I live for it.
