I wanted everyone to see the James Brown I knew....We talked about the good old days..He was distorted in the movie...Im not even sure anyone making that film ever sat down and had a real talk with him...we did several times...talked politics...race...race..modern R&B..he told me much more off camera...I really liked him...he had many struggles in his life...a Proud man... Helped a lot of people...helped many find self respect!! Great American success story! came from less than nothing...became one of the greatest show business figures of all time!
