THIS WEEK ON RADIO AND iTUNES ALL-GENRE CHARTS

LADY A SCORES TWO CMA AWARDS FOR
“GROUP OF THE YEAR” AND “SINGLE OF THE YEAR”

Trio To Release Sophomore Album NEED YOU NOW On Jan. 26, 2010

Nashville, TN – Nov. 16, 2009 – Still riding a wave of shock and excitement from their wins at last week’s CMA Awards, Capitol Nashville trio Lady Antebellum has scored their second No. one hit as the lead single and title track “Need You Now” from their forthcoming sophomore album strides into the top spot today on both the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts.  It is their second consecutive No. one hit, and it is also now spending its sixth week at No. one on the Billboard Canada Country chart.

The trio was awarded “Group of the Year” and “Single of the Year” at last week’s CMA Awards, where they also performed the passionate lead single.  Following that dramatic performance, the song shot straight to the top of the iTunes all-genre digital singles chart and has held its place there since.

“We have been on clouds 9, 10, 11 and 12 all week,” says Hillary Scott.  “As songwriters, we really couldn’t be more proud…we are just putting our stories and emotions in these songs and to know that other people have these same feelings is so amazing and wonderful and validating…not just on an artistic level, but also on a human level…We feel so much love from the country music community and other artists and country radio and the fans.   I get emotional even talking about it now.”

Lady Antebellum is gearing up for the release of their sophomore album NEED YOU NOW on Jan. 26, 2010.  They will finish up a few remaining tour dates through the end of the year and then join megastar Tim McGraw on his “Southern Voice” tour at the beginning of next year.   For behind-the-scenes videos from the studio, visit www.ladyantebellum.com

I've always been a believer in the strength of the song. My problem is I'm a country singer who's had a lot of other musical influences, so my stuff is going to tend to be more AC. That's always been my slam in country music, that I was never a true country artist, even though &q

ARRESTED now in Colorado...but what a story and week for 2 brothers and their stripper sister! Text messages and tweets by three fugitive siblings who shot at a police officer and robbed a bank reveal a dangerous mindset and a firm bond between the siblings, "We've certainly seen their mindset when... They shot at a law enforcement officer outside of Tampa Bay, Fla., and when they fired inside that bank in Valdosta, Ga. But these additional texts and tweets have given us additional insight," FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett told "Good Morning America" today. " We are concerned and feel that they are going to continue and cause problems to say the least for law enforcement." Ryan Dougherty, 21; his sister Lee Grace E. Dougherty, 29; and half-brother Dylan Dougherty Stanley, 26, have been on the lam since Aug. 2 when they shot at a police officer attempting to pull their white Subaru Impreza over for speeding. A few hours later, they robbed a bank in G
