THE TAYLOR SWIFT EDUCATION CENTER (IN THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM) GRAND OPENING SET FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12TH SWIFT ADDS FOURTH AND FIFTH SHOWS TO 2014 LONDON O2 ARENA RUN IN RESPONSE TO HUGE FAN DEMAND Nashville, TN – October 9, 2013 – On Sunday, October 13th, the Nashville Songwriters Association International will name seven-time GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift their 2013 Songwriter/Artist of the Year. Taylor’s 6th time to win the award, she will have now won this award more times than any other songwriter/artist, surpassing five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson. She remains the youngest artist ever to earn the award. The Songwriter/Artist of the Year Award recognizes “most prolific and productive Nashville writers who achieved Top 30 singles during the past year.” Taylor, whose RED album reached #1 in 50 countries, created and placed 14 Top 30 songs on the charts from July 2012 through June 2013. RED, released on Big Machine Records, has sold more than 6 million copies to date, and Taylor has career record sales in excess of 26 million albums and 75 million song downloads. On Saturday, October 12th, the Taylor Swift Education Center officially opens at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Taylor’s $4 million gift to endow the center is the largest individual artist gift in the Hall of Fame’s history. Taylor has a long history with the Country Music Hall of Fame -- she signed her record contract there as a teenager, and gave one of her first public performances on the building's plaza. She has also volunteered her time to several of the museum's "All for the Hall" fundraising shows, and has donated numerous items to the museum for display. Her stand-alone multi-media exhibit has drawn big crowds every day for years, and the museum exhibition on her Speak Now tour was incredibly popular, and the first-ever of its kind, paving the way for subsequent contemporary exhibits. The Taylor Swift Education Center, which will encompass parts of two floors and feature three classrooms, a learning lab and a state-of-the-art children’s exhibit gallery, will increase the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s educational capacity up to seven-fold (the museum previously had one classroom). The classroom spaces will be adjacent to a visible design studio; this space will feature thematic displays, e.g. dozens of instruments, and allow students to observe museum curators at work. The children’s gallery, situated on the second floor, will be a dedicated exhibit space for young patrons and will be filled with hands-on, interactive exhibits. The center will open officially on October 12th (classrooms and learning lab will open on that date; gallery space will open in March, 2014). Taylor’s six NSAI Awards will be on special display in the foyer of the Taylor Swift Education Center. Taylor just concluded the US leg of her blockbuster RED tour with 3 sold-out hometown shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and is now taking the tour around the world, beginning with shows Australia and New Zealand later this year. Taylor is the first solo female artist in twenty years to undertake a national stadium tour of Australia, the last being Madonna in 1993. After Taylor’s initial announcement last week of 3 shows for February, 2014, at London’s O2 Arena, a fourth show was added due to fan demand, and after all 4 shows sold out in a matter of hours, on Monday she added a 5th show. Taylor will play the O2 February 1, 2, 4, 10 and 11, 2014. With 6 nominations, including one for Entertainer of the Year, Taylor leads the nominee field for this year’s CMA Awards, and she will perform live from Nashville on the November 6th ABC telecast. Taylor is featured on the covers of the November issues of InStyle (US) and Glamour (UK).

Tim to Jacksonville

TIM MCGRAW, CHASE AND THE U.S. NAVY BRING FREE CONCERT TO JACKSONVILLE FOR MILITARY MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO CELEBRATE VETERANS DAY Nashville, TN- Oct. 9, 2013- Country superstar Tim McGraw is set to perform a special concert in Jacksonville, FL on Sunday, Nov. 10 for military members and their families at U.S. Naval Station Mayport to celebrate Veterans Day. "Chase Presents Live From The HomeFront: Tim McGraw" will also be broadcast live on the Pentagon Channel and online at TimMcgraw.com and http://www.youtube.com/user/timmcgraw starting at 8:45 PM EST, bringing the concert to fans worldwide. "It's easy for me to show up and play music to honor the men and women who have the really tough jobs," said McGraw. "To me, it's just one small thing I can do to help show how much we appreciate what they put on the line and what these families sacrifice every single day. Since we started this program 18 months ago, I have had the privilege of meeting many servicemembers and their families and have heard many inspiring stories. It's something I'm proud to do and want to take it as far as we can!" “It’s an honor for us to partner with Tim McGraw and the Navy to thank our servicemen and women, past and present, and their families,” said Mel Martinez, chairman of JPMorgan Chase in the Southeast U.S. “We are happy to be able to give back through this concert as well as through our firm’s military programs to a community that has given so much to us.” Naval Station Mayport is one of three Navy bases in the Jacksonville, FL area and home to nearly 5,000 uniformed servicemembers, their families and 2,000 Department of Defense civilian employees. There are more than 1.5 million veterans who call Florida their home. “On the eve of Veteran’s Day, this concert is a gift and tribute to the brave men and women of our military who have served their country. This is an opportunity to say thank you to our servicemembers and their families who wear the cloth of this great nation and to those who have gone before us defending freedom and democracy around the world,” said Capt. Wes McCall, Naval Station Mayport Commanding Officer. “I extend my heart-felt thanks to Chase and Tim McGraw for choosing Naval Station Mayport as the location to share their time and talents in honor of America’s fighting forces.” Since McGraw partnered with Chase and Operation Homefront over a year ago to create the HomeFront program, they have awarded more than 70 mortgage-free homes to wounded warriors and military members in need and will give another to a deserving family on Nov. 10. With one million servicemembers projected to transition out of the military by 2016, the HomeFront program helps returning veterans successfully transition back to civilian life and build a solid foundation for the future. Chase has provided more than 600 mortgage-free homes to military families through its nonprofit partners as part of an initiative to award 1,000 homes to deserving veterans and their families. Awarding homes is one part of a broader program JPMorgan Chase launched in 2011 aimed at positioning transitioning servicemembers, veterans and their families for successful and happy post-service lives. The bank is a founding member of the 100,000 Jobs Mission, a coalition of 120 leading companies working together to collectively hire 100,000 veterans by 2020. In less than three years, the coalition members have already hired more than 77,000 U.S. military veterans. McGraw's latest single, "Southern Girl," off his current album TWO LANES OF FREEDOM is quickly climbing up the Top 10 on the radio charts and comes on the heels of his 34th career No. one hit. He recently received three nominations for November’s CMA Awards for his PLATINUM certified No. one single “Highway Don’t Care,” an all-star collaboration with Taylor Swift, featuring Keith Urban on guitar. Over his career, McGraw has sold over 40 million albums, won three GRAMMY’s, 15 ACM Awards, 12 CMA Awards and 10 AMA’s, while simultaneously maintaining a parallel career as a successful actor in such films as the Oscar nominated The Blind Side, Country Strong, Friday Night Lights and the upcoming Disney production, Tomorrowland starring George Clooney and directed by Brad Bird, scheduled for release in theaters late 2014. I can’t wait to see you next year!” Blake Shelton is CMA Awards’ reigning Entertainer of the Year and three-peat Male Vocalist of the Year. With nine consecutive No. 1 singles (fourteen overall) Blake is one of the "most versatile of contemporary country singers" (The New York Times). His infectious multi-week No.1 hit, “Honey Bee" still holds the record for the fastest-selling digital Platinum single for a male country solo artist, and just off the heels of his No. 1 smash hit “Boys ‘Round Here,” from his critically-acclaimed album Based On A True Story…, the follow up single “Mine Would Be You” is already Top 10 on the charts. “To A Purist Mr. Shelton is a savvy student of tradition. To A Would-be outlaw he’s forever adding a wink. He’s a star who is only as explicit as you want him to be,” Jon Caramanica, The New York Times. Blake Shelton’s passion for country music and his commitment to mentoring his teammates from The Voice make him an incredible ambassador for country music.
