Jason Aldean on FIRE!

Nashville, TN – July 16, 2012 – On the heels of five consecutive No. one singles, MULTI-PLATINUM entertainer Jason Aldean releases the driving lead single “Take A Little Ride” from his upcoming fifth studio album today. The track is now available for purchase at iTunes, and physical singles will be sold at Walmart stores nationwide beginning Aug. 7. "Everyone has been asking if the new album is going to be different from the 'My Kinda Party' album," said Aldean. "I tried to find the best songs that I could and also ones that fit what I do in my live show. There's a little bit of everything, including some more traditional country stuff and some songs that might raise a few eyebrows. I thought this would be a great lead single to come with after 'Fly Over States'…it's about grabbing your girl and getting lost in the country. Sounds like a pretty good Friday night to me!" “Take A Little Ride,” written by Dylan Altman, Rodney Clawson and Jim McCormick, carries Aldean’s distinct electric sound to a carefree summer night spent driving down country roads with a summer love and a six-pack. To preview the track, click here: Aldean’s fifth studio album, due out this fall, is the follow up to the DOUBLE PLATINUM, Country Music Association and Billboard Album of the Year MY KINDA PARTY, which spawned five consecutive No. one singles and was among the Top Five best-selling albums of 2011 in all genres. The Macon, GA native’s high-octane live show has sold out every date so far this year and now counts its first stadium sell out in Columbus, OH. The 2012 MY KINDA PARTY TOUR continues to smash venue attendance records as it crisscrosses the nation playing to capacity crowds at its biggest amphitheaters through Oct. Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum Join ASCAP Nashville, TN, July 2, 2012 – ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) is very proud to announce that Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood have joined the PRO as writer and publisher members. “We couldn’t be more excited to have Charles and Dave join ASCAP,” said Marc Driskill, VP and GM at ASCAP Nashville. “They are two of music’s most talented songwriters and their artistry has inspired millions around the world. We are thrilled to represent them and we welcome them to the ASCAP family.” Georgia natives Kelley and Haywood met as teenagers and attended the same high school, where Haywood played in a jazz band with Kelley’s older brother Josh -- now a successful ASCAP songwriter in his own right. The pair relocated to Nashville after college graduation, moving in with Josh so they could write songs together. Haywood and Kelley founded Lady Antebellum in 2006 with Hillary Scott and released their self-titled debut soon after, which produced the trio's first #1 single, “I Run to You.” In early 2010, the group released its second album, anchored by the five-week #1 crossover hit single, “Need You Now,” co-written with fellow ASCAP member Josh Kear. The song won four Grammy awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year, becoming only the second country song ever to win both honors. It has earned countless ASCAP, CMA, ACM, ACA and CMT awards, was certified quintuple platinum by the RIAA, and last year became the most downloaded country song in history. Lady Antebellum recently released their third studio album, Own The Night, which debuted at #1 and garnered their fifth and sixth #1 singles. In addition to their success with Lady A, Kelley and Haywood have co-written numerous songs for various artists, most notably the top five song, “Do I,” recorded by labelmate Luke Bryan, “Love Song,” recorded by Miranda Lambert, and songs by Josh Kelley, Parachute and more. To help welcome Charles and Dave to ASCAP, Driskill joined them in St. Louis for one of the last shows on their Own The Night U.S. tour, before they head to Europe and Australia.

LADY ANTEBELLUM WRAPS NORTH AMERICAN LEG OF THEIR OWN THE NIGHT WORLD TOUR Tour Marks Attendance Milestone of More Than One Million Fans While Prepping for Europe and Australia Nashville, TN – July 2, 2012 – As the North American leg of Lady Antebellum’s headlining OWN THE NIGHT WORLD TOUR sponsored by GAC with special guests Darius Rucker and Thompson Square comes to a close, the 85 city run that has incited fan hysteria and massive critical acclaim also marks an attendance milestone with over one million fans as they continue into Europe and Australia this summer. "I remember how exciting and special it was to hear we sold out the first weekend of the tour back in the Fall," said Charles Kelley. "I seriously had no idea that so many others would follow, especially places like LA and Chicago, or that we would be sitting here eight months later saying we played to a million fans. It doesn't even register." "What I love is the connection we made with all of those fans," added Hillary Scott. "It truly felt like we got to know everyone in the arena every night, which was one of our biggest goals when we started brainstorming on a paper plate last summer in Lake Tahoe. We invited fans up on stage most nights and just tried to get as close as possible to them…it was one giant sing-along each night. As a songwriter, it's so cool to hear the lyrics you wrote with your best friends in the back of a bus echoing back to you by so many people." "We've definitely become closer as a band – musically and personally – over this tour too," noted Dave Haywood. "We are really proud of our show and how much we've grown on stage. Moments like selling out two nights in our hometown of Augusta, GA with all our friends and family around are really going to make us miss being on the road this Fall, but we're looking forward to working on new music and getting back into the studio." A tour concept that started with a simple production sketch on a paper plate, the OWN THE NIGHT WORLD TOUR kicked off in Knoxville, TN on 11/11/11 with an entourage of more than 100 people in 10 buses and eight trucks who travelled more than 46,000 miles across the continent, hitting arenas and amphitheatres in 34 states and six Canadian provinces. Along the way, the trio has earned praise from critics for their spirited live show and proved that Lady Antebellum has long-term staying power as one of the biggest touring groups in country music. “Nashville’s Lady Antebellum, on its first arena headlining tour, has become such a crowd-pleasing phenomenon that there is arguably no other country band on the planet right now that can steal the trio’s ever-brightening spotlight.” – Salt Lake Tribune “Lady Antebellum certainly pushes all the right buttons in concert --backdrops dominated by shooting stars and bucolic scenery, a careful placement of the hits -- but there's more to their appeal than just that. Their palette is broader, more forcefully colored than most of their peers, and the soulfulness that results is unmistakable.” – Variety “The Grammy-winning group has claimed its spot among the elite headliners, moving up from playing theaters to selling out massive arenas.” – San Jose Mercury News “Its performance erased all doubts that the act’s seemingly meteoric ascendance to the top of the contemporary country world is undeserved…its celebrated vocal harmonies were terrific.” – Kansas City Star “While it can be hard to take the studio sound to the live stage, Lady Antebellum proved it can be done. But more than that, the group’s playfulness, youthful exuberance and unending energy was evident fromstart to finish.” – Virginian Pilot Upcoming stops on the OWN THE NIGHT 2012 WORLD TOUR include shows in the UK where they will also open for Bruce Springsteen in Hyde Park, and headline in Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden before they head to Australia in September.
