Ronnie Dunn Releases Self-Titled Solo
Debut Album Today With Stellar Critics’ Reviews!
New York Times Declares Dunn’s Album
“One Of The Year’s Most Impressive Country Releases”
New Single, “Cost Of Livin’,” Ships To Country Radio June 13
Nashville, TN – Ronnie Dunn releases his self-titled solo debut album today. Dunn was in New York City this morning to perform the album’s next single, “Cost Of Livin’,” on ABC’s “The View.” Dunn told “The View” co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselbeck that he’s “waited twenty years” to make this album and that it’s been a “long time coming.”
The12-track collection, Ronnie Dunn captures the multi-award-winning singer/songwriter’s most complete musical vision, produced solely by Dunn, with nine songs that he wrote or co-wrote.
In addition to giving Ronnie Dunn 4 out of 4 stars, the New York Post declares that Dunn “breaks out with what stands to be the best country album of the year,” cheering Dunn’s vocals, “which are flexible enough to swing from tough-guy bark to the whisper of a sensitive man.”
The Associated Press shares that “it's our first unfiltered look at the man considered by many to have country music's purest voice.”
The New York Times declares “Mr. Dunn is impressive throughout this album,” adding that Dunn’s album is “one of the year’s most impressive country releases.”
USA Today shares that “to hear how today's economic climate plays out in everyday life, listen to ‘Cost of Livin',’ sung from the point of view of a war veteran who assumes he won't get the job before he even goes in for the interview. That man's pride would keep him from ever saying the song's words like Dunn sings them, but Dunn gives voice to every fear hidden in his soul.”
“Bleed Red,” the first hit from the new album, is currently #9 on Country Aircheck and #10 on Billboard’s country airplay charts. Dunn’s next single, “Cost Of Livin’,” ships to radio stations on Monday, June 13.
