NOTHING LIKE THIS
ALBUM TO HIT STORES NOVEMBER 16

NEW SINGLE “WHY WAIT” TO BE RELEASED TO COUNTRY RADIO IMMEDIATELY
Nashville – (July 29, 2010) – Disney Music Group finalized arrangements today for the release of the forthcoming Rascal Flatts record Nothing Like This to be on Big Machine Records. The Rascal Flatts catalogue will remain with the Disney Music Group.

As Big Machine Records becomes the new musical home to Rascal Flatts, who are Country Music’s most awarded group of the millennium and an act at the pinnacle of their career, the final touches are being made on the group’s next album Nothing Like This, its seventh studio release.
Nothing Like This will be in stores on November 16 and was produced by Dann Huff and is the follow up toUnstoppable released in 2009.  The lead-off single, “Why Wait,” was written by Neil Thrasher, Tom Shapiro and Jimmy Yeary, and is going out to Country radio immediately.

Big Machine Label Group President/CEO Scott Borchetta says, “Rascal Flatts are the biggest band in Country Music and we’re honored and thrilled to have them join the Big Machine Records family.  While they are celebrating their first ten years together I selfishly can’t wait to start on their next ten years.  They have made a fantastic new album and they are completely energized and ready to take on not only the US but also the rest of the world. Why wait?”

“We are extremely excited about our new partnership with Big Machine Records!,” says Jay DeMarcus, bassist and background vocalist for Rascal Flatts.   “We believe that Scott Borchetta and all of the folks over there are a perfect fit for what Rascal Flatts is trying to accomplish over the next few years.  The last 10 years have been amazing but we are even more excited about the next phase of our career; Scott understands us, he knows what we're about and it's always a wonderful thing to have someone who believes in you and your music that much in your corner.”

About Rascal FlattsGary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney have 11 #1 singles and have more titles in Billboard’s Top 100 Songs of the Decade than any other group in the format.  In the last ten years, the band has sold more than 20 million albums and 25 million digital downloads while all six of their studio albums made Billboard’s Top 100 Country Albums of the Decade listing. As the most awarded country group of the new Millennium, Rascal Flatts has brought home nearly 40 trophies from the Academy of Country Music, American Music Awards, Country Music Association, People’s Choice Awards and more. In concert, Rascal Flatts continues to be one of the hottest touring acts of the decade with more venue attendance records than any other country act. They have played over 400 dates as a headline act, over 700 shows since 2000, with a ticket tally of nearly 6 million, including two sold-out stadium concerts at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Columbus’ Crew Stadium last summer.  Gary, Jay and Joe Don have traveled to visit U.S. troops in Iraq on a USO Tour and partnered with the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee to raise over 3 million dollars in the past few years. In 2011, the band will receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  The band will continue their “Nothing Like This Tour” this weekend with shows in Fairlea, West Virginia, Virginia Beach, Virginia and Hartford, Connecticut.    For additional information on Rascal Flatts go to www.rascalflatts.com

KENNY CHESNEY’s “THE BOYS OF FALL” VIDEO TO WORLD DEBUT ON ESPN’s SPORTSCENTER

“The Boys of Fall” Single Available August 3 At All Digital Retailers

NASHVILLE, TN -- For singer-songwriter Kenny Chesney, a career trademark has been his drive to take his music and fans to new places and provide them with new experiences, whether it’s a network TV special, 3D movie, duets with Dave Matthews and Uncle Kracker or sold-out stadiums from coast to coast.  On Monday, August 2, Chesney again steps onto new turf as the music video for his hit single, “The Boys Of Fall,” makes its world premiere on ESPN’s SportsCenter.  This unique, four-minute video edit will air twice – just before 12:00 Noon, with another airing at the conclusion of the 2:00 pm edition (all times Eastern).  “The Boys of Fall” is the debut single from Chesney’s forthcoming album, Hemingway’s Whiskey, which will be released on September 28.

While “The Boys of Fall” is a tribute to the sensations, the moments and the memories of playing football, the music video enhances those emotions with footage from the pee-wee to the professional level, highlighted by some of the biggest names in the sport.  “Every day we see the world of sports come to life on ESPN, and I'm thrilled that ‘The Boys of Fall’ has found a home there, said Chesney.”

On Tuesday, August 3, the full-length eight-minute version of the music video will be available at all outlets including VEVO, CMT and GAC.  The eight minute version will also be available onESPN.com and ESPNRise.com through the week beginning Aug. 2. The full length version, co-produced by Chesney, has been a labor of love for him.  “As a songwriter you crave inspiration, and I have never been more inspired than I have been in the past year listening to the lessons and the wisdom from these men and many more who have touched so many lives through the game of football!”

Chesney explains, “I have friends in this video...a lot of my heroes are in this video...so many players and coaches that have shaped the lives of generations are a part of this and it has been one of the highlights of my life to film it with Shaun Silva and Don Lepore!”

After two weeks of radio airplay, “The Boys of Fall” is already a Top 15 hit at country radio, ranking among the fastest-rising singles of Chesney’s career. On Tuesday, August 3, the song will be available for purchase at all digital retailers.

Wynonna’s Visionary Philanthropy Awarded

Invitation-only Gala Will Benefit The Cecil Scaife Music Business Scholarship Endowment
Nashville, TN – Five-time GRAMMY Award winner, multi-platinum recording artist, New York Timesbest-selling author, and tireless philanthropist, Wynonna Judd, will receive The Cecil Scaife Visionary Award for 2010.

Governor Phil Bredesen and First Lady Andrea Conte will be on hand for an evening of music and heartfelt memories on Tuesday, August 24th, as Nashville celebrates Wynonna for her countless contributions to the Nashville community and future generations who wish to pursue a career in the music industry.

The event will be held at Conservation Hall at the Tennessee Residence in Nashville, Tenn.  The invitation-only gala begins at 6:30 p.m.  The evening will be filled with music and tributes from friends and esteemed members of the community including a proclamation from U.S. Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn. Invitations may be requested by emailingNashvilleCelebrates@gmail.com accompanying a donation of $200.  All donations benefit the Cecil Scaife Music Business Scholarship Endowment for an educational scholarship to be awarded in Wynonna Judd’s name.

The Cecil Scaife Visionary Award was founded in the name of the Music Row pioneer and veteran, who was instrumental in the formation of the music business program that is now known as the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.

Passionate about the music industry and education, it was Scaife’s vision to form a college level program to produce successful musicians, artists and music business executives by giving students an opportunity to formally learn about the industry that was so fulfilling and exciting for him.

“Wynonna personifies the spirit of this award.  She has given so generously of her heart, talent and time to help the next generation realize a better life and better chance at success through her work with youth in our community and students pursuing a career in the music industry,” said LaRawn Scaife Rhea.  “It is a great honor to award The Cecil Scaife Visionary Award to Wynonna for the many special opportunities that she has made available to students through her special mentorship.”

Music industry leader, Mike Curb, was the inaugural recipient of The Cecil Scaife Visonary Award in 2008. Record producer and music industry leader, Tony Brown, received the award in 2009.

About Cecil Scaife
Cecil Scaife was highly respected for his love of the music industry and education.  It was his vision to see the formation of an educational program to produce successful musicians, artists and music business executives by giving students an opportunity to formally learn about the industry that was so fulfilling and exciting for him.

It was Cecil Scaife who originally conceived the idea of creating a music business program and, along with the assistance of many friends from Music Row and good friend Bob Mulloy, founded the program that grew to become The Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.

Scaife, a native of Helena, Arkansas, started his career in the music business working at KFFA radio in Helena.  He went on to work for legendary producer Sam Phillips, and was the first Marking Manager/Promotion Manager at Sun Records during the early days of Elvis Presley's career.  Over the years he worked with artists Charlie Rich, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and others.  Cecil Scaife was a founder of the Gospel Music Association, President of NARAS, Nashville, and founder of Music, Inc.

About Wynonna
5-time GRAMMY Award winning artist, Wynonna Judd first gained fame as part of one of the most successful musical duos of all time, The Judds, who have amassed fourteen number-one hits and over 60 industry awards including multiple CMA, ACM and GRAMMY awards. At the height of their career, Naomi Judd announced she would have to retire from the music business due to health complications.  To say goodbye to their fans, they launched the 116-city Judds Farewell Tour selling more concert tickets than anyone that year with the exception of The Grateful Dead and The Rolling Stones.  On top of that amazing feat, Wynonna also holds multiple gold, platinum and multi-platinum certifications from the RIAA in excess of 30 million units sold for albums released throughout her illustrious 26-year career.  In addition to her vast musical achievements, Wynonna became a New York Timesbest-selling author in 2005 with the release of her long-awaited autobiography, Coming Home to Myself, released in conjunction with her live CD and DVD: Her Story: Scenes from a Lifetime.

In January of 2010, Wynonna announced that she and her mother, Naomi, intend to reunite for one final tour. The Judds came together again at last year’s 2009 CMA Music Festival and captivated the massive audience with their homespun, acoustic harmonies that felt as revelatory as they did when they first shot onto the country music scene 26 years ago. Encouraged by that performance and driven by the fans, the duo decided to tour one last time for 2010’s The Judds: The Last Encore.
